Vice Presidents
Layla - Executive Vice PresidenT
As an English and Economics senior, Layla is excited to serve as Executive Vice President for UNLV's chapter of the American Marketing Association. Last year as VP of Communications, Layla was also on the case team and a presenter at the 2019 AMA International Collegiate Conference where the team won the case competition for the first time. After the conference, the presentation team was invited to Wall Street Journal's New York headquarters to present the case to their global marketing team. AMA has provided her with valuable marketing experience that she would not have received otherwise.
You can also see Layla on campus working at the Beverly Rogers, Carol C. Harter Black Mountain Institute and as President of Sigma Tau Delta - Epsilon Rho, UNLV's chapter of the English Honor Society.
Diana - VP of Communications
Diana is the Vice President of Community Impact for UNLV American Marketing Association. She is majoring in Business Marketing and Communication. She is responsible for developing a communication plan to keep members informed about activities and opportunities to engage with the collegiate chapter. This includes current events, marketing themes of the month, highlights of past events. Last semester, she participated in the regional competition that was hosted at UNLV. Diana was paired up with this year’s new President Danyelle Baldwin and VP of Community and Social Impact Shyrun Karandikar for two of the marketing competitions. Their task was to create a marketing strategy for a new company, and a competition in how to use a social media influencer on a marketing strategy for a non-profit organization. Together they won first place in those competitions. She felt that it was an amazing experience that left her eager to learn more and bring her strengths, and dedication to the team this year. She would like to invite you to come and grow your knowledge and passion for your career, with individuals that inspire you to push yourself to be great and standout from the mass while representing UNLV and AMA collegiate chapter. It is with great pleasure for her to be a part of this organization, and she is happy to meet you and work with you in the future.
